2025 All-State Information
The 2025 All-State Orchestra Festival consists of the three following ensembles:
Festival Orchestra for advanced woodwind, brass, percussion and string students who seek an opportunity to perform professional level full-orchestra music. This group also rehearses and performs a world premiere of a new orchestral work.
Sinfonia Orchestra for intermediate to advanced woodwind, brass, percussion and string students who seek an opportunity to perform full-orchestra music.
Consort String Orchestra for intermediate level string students who seek an opportunity to play in an ensemble with other string players.
2025 Alabama All-State Orchestra Festival Details
When: February 13-16, 2025
Where: Moody Music Building, University of Alabama, 810 2nd Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401
Festival Schedule: Final schedule TBD
Final Concert: Sunday, February 16, 2025, 1:00 pm; this concert is free to the public; all family and friends are invited to attend.
Music for the All-State Orchestra Festival is available through a drop box link emailed to students as they register for this event. If you have not received the link for your music, please email: executivedirector@alabamaorchestraassociation.org
Concert Dress Options:
Option 1: tux with black tie (bowtie or necktie), white shirt, black pants, black dress shoes, black socks.
Option 2: black suit with black tie (bowtie or necktie), white shirt, black pants, black dress shoes, black socks.
Option 3: long black dress that comes below knee and below elbow. Black shoes and black stockings/hose.
Option 4: all black dress clothes with black shoes and black socks.
Option 5: black pants or skirt with white long sleeve shirt or blouse, black dress shoes, black socks.
All-State Schedule:
The complete schedule will be available closer to the festival. As you make your travel
plans, please remember that generally, registration for all string players will be held at
noon on Thursday so that they can complete their chair auditions. Registration for all
woodwind, brass and percussion students will take place around or after 1:00 so that
they can be ready for their first full rehearsal that afternoon.
